Bioengineering 08 is the first in a series of annual meetings that will bring together researchers working on bioengineering and biomedical problems to discuss the latest results, explore new analytical techniques and instrumentation, and set the agenda for future bioengineering research. The meeting will have internationally leading plenary speakers and parallel themed sessions that will explore the latest advances, ideas and problems.
An outcome of this meeting will be the inauguration of a new society, The Bioengineering Society, to provide a forum for researchers to discuss the challenges of interdisciplinary bioengineering research. The meeting will hold an open discussion session on this initiative.
